Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello everyone. I am so sorry. Wanted everyone to know that the kids made it back from Texas. They had a wonderful time there.
They are all doing well in school. Still getting used to the homework routine with the kids. We are starting Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Soccer, and Religion Classes. Pretty much every night is booked for us.
We are fighting off colds and allergies in our house. One day we won't hear coughing and sneezing, I hope.
Can't believe it is already September. It has been almost one year since we lost dad (grandpa). We are missing him a lot.
Not much else is going on. I am very tired and gonna try to get some sleep. Hope everyone is doing well.

The kids are on their way to Texas

Well after a long week of work and then Taylor's Softball Tournament each night we have had a relaxing weekend. Taylor's team got fourth in the tournament. She had a game every night except Wednesday, since Monday. They even had two games on Thursday night. They did awesome. Taylor even hit her first home run during one of the games. Today they left for Texas for a week at Nana Donna's. They were so excited to go. Hopefully they are good for her for the whole car ride. Nana Donna says that where they live they are having a lot of snakes and now tarantula's this year. She asked if the kids could bring one home if they wanted to. I said "ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!". There are two things that I am not at all fond of and that would be snakes and spiders. I don't know if I would ever want to visit Texas. She said the tarantula's are really big. That is not at all cool to me. It gives me the hebby jebbies just to think about it.

This week we don't have much going on, which is WONDERFUL. I plan on going to Jason's ball games on Monday and Wednesday nights, which will be nice because I haven't been able to make it to very many this year. The other nights I may just float in the pool when I get home from work. Don't like to get in there when the kids are home. It is not as relaxing. Hopefully I will get some cleaning done while the kids are done and catch up on my sleep. Probably not, wishful thinking.

We are all doing well here. We hope that everyone is well and has a great week.

I am back!!!!

Well, is has been some time since I have been on here. Needless to say we are still a bit busy. The kids are out of school and they did great this past year. Tyler is going to 1st grade and Taylor gets to go to 3rd grade. Angel will be going into 6th grade and is a little nervous about it. I think she will do just fine.
Taylor and Tyler are playing T-Ball. Actually, Taylor is playing coach pitch softball and Tyler is playing T-Ball. They are loving it. Unfortunately, even with all the games the kids are still not tired at night so we then come home eat supper and try to go for a bike ride. Needless to say, by the time we get back, take baths, and the kids are asleep, I am also going to sleep.

I am still enjoying my job. Starting to get a hang of things. Jason is playing slow-pitch softball 2 nights a week. We have a lot of softball going on in our lives right now. Tuesdays are pretty much the only nights we don't have something going on right now.

We were unfortunately hit with the flu this past weekend. We all got it, and Tyler even got it twice. Praying that Taylor doesn't get it twice and I can go to work tomorrow. Thinking of work, I should probably get to bed. Have lost sleep the last couple days due to the flu. Hope that everyone is doing well, and I will try to do better with this blog.

Hello

Well today I get to stay home with a child that we thought was sick, but now I think we were wrong. Yesterday we got a phone call from the nurse at school about Tyler because he had been to see her twice by 10 am. Jason went and picked him up and took him to the doctor and she said it was probably a viral infection. Kept him home today because he was still complaining. Now he isn't acting sick at all. We figured no matter which way we went (meaning sending him to school or keeping him home) we would be wrong. We were right. This does give me time to update on here though and clean house.

The kids are still enjoying school and doing awesome. They can't wait for nice weather so they can get outside and play more. Angel is enjoying band at her school. This past weekend they were all very busy. The kids all went to see Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Wayne. They had fun. Taylor wrote a card for me that said Angel was being a drama queen. Grandma told me that it was Tay who was been the drama queen which is a lot more believable. On Saturday, we met Nana Joanne in Champaign to go shopping for Tay's Birthday. We had a lot of fun even though the queen was having some drama at times. Taylor will be 8 on Sunday but acts like she will be 16.

Jason and his brother Justin worked on our St. Louis Cardinals room on Friday night and Saturday and got the floor completely done. It looks great. We have been seeing a lot of Justin the last few months. It has been great, he is a great help to Jason and I. He has helped a lot, considering he knows what he is doing and we do not.

There is not much else going on. Girl Scout cookies are in. We got Taylor's last night but won't get Angel's until next weekend. Last night I sorted through boxes for 2 hours and still have more to go through. We will be coming back to Pontiac the weekend of the 13th. to deliver cookies. Hope this finds everyone healthy and happy. Have a great week.

Hello

I am hoping that for Lent I can keep up on my blog. We will see how this goes. Once again I am so sorry it has been so long. Things are going good around here. Very busy but good.

We had the flu in our house a couple weeks ago. I am the only one who did not get it even though I was puked on by Tyler a few times. The night he had it, he went through 4 pairs of pajamas and I went through 3 pairs of pajamas. Needless to say we had a lot of laundry. I stayed home with the kids then on Monday due to the flu. On Tuesday and Wednesday we were home due to snow. I only worked 2 days last week. Thursday and Friday were parent-teacher conferences at work so Thursday was a long day and Friday was a half day. I really enjoyed my work week last week.

This past weekend, we went down south to celebrate Jason's grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. It was a great time. We had a very late night so that meant the kids needed to get up early on Sunday. Tyler had a birthday party to go to at a bowling alley. He had a great time. Monday was no school for the kids and no work for me. I am really getting used to having short weeks.

This week I also had a change at work. I am in a different room, still working with Infant and Toddlers, and I have new hours. I now work 9-5:30. I can get the kids on the bus and I don't have to rush in the mornings. It is wonderful. I miss the room I was in though. I was just starting to get comfortable and understanding how things work and now I have to learn how the new room does it all. Oh well. I wanted a challenge and I am getting it. If I don't get it at work, I will get it at home. Just makes you a stronger person right.

Well I better get going. Need to get the kids in bed and this seems to take a while for me. Everything hurts once they are in bed. Hope this finds everyone well.

Hello Again

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!! We had a Great Christmas. Very busy, with lots of driving, but got to see lots of family. This past week at work as been very relaxed, at my job at least. We had no kids so I was able to do some more training and work on flannel board stories and other games for our room. The kids have enjoyed their break as well. For New Years we stayed home with the kids and played games, Uncle Justin came over also. The kids got some board games for Christmas that we played and they also played on their new air hockey table. Tyler has amazed me with his Sorry skills. He had to tell me how to play. Tyler fell asleep at 10:30ish and the girls made it past midnight that night. I tried to wake up Tyler just before midnight, but was unsuccessful. He got to do his confetti later. Friday he fell asleep at 4:30 and woke up from his nap at 9:30 as I was trying to get the girls to bed. He stayed up for a little while and then went to bed. Saturday night Uncle Jeremy came over. He played Sorry with us and then helped Tyler build a truck with his new Knex. I tried one night but couldn't get past the first page. Now Jeremy and Jason are playing Mario Brothers on the Wii. I tried to also play with them but I didn't do very well. Hope everyone has a great week.

3 times in one month

I am back. Just wanted to make Grandma Carol happy and write again for her. We would like to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY also. We have been very busy as usual. Last monday night, my kids had their Christmas program and they did awesome. Taylor's group even sang and did sign language to Silent Night. At night we have been pretty much none stop. Not much time to sit back and relax. On Thursday night Santa made a delivery to our house so that the kids could open their gifts when we got home on Friday. It was so awesome to watch them open their gifts. They were so happy. Saturday we went to Pontiac and had the Sancken side Christmas and then our Christmas with mom. It was hard not having dad there. Mom had these awesome bears made for us all. The bears are made out of dad's shirts or pants. We all loved them. It really meant a lot to all of us. It was wonderful to see the family and to be together. On Sunday we had Christmas with Jason's mom, sister and her family. It was great. By that afternoon, we were all so tired. We went to bed very early.
This week is a short week at work for us. Lots of driving to do on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We only have 4 more Christmas' to go. For the first time we will be done with Christmas the day after Christmas. We are very excited about that. We hope that everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
