His first day home alone

Well Buster made it through his first day home alone. From the looks of the crate he had a great time. The photos are from his first bath which he needed when we got home. His crate also got a bath and everything in it went to the bathtub then the washer. Hopefully this won't be a daily routine and if so hopefully it won't last long. He is a really good dog. His playtime seems to be getting longer tonight. Hopefully he will sleep longer tonight.

We made it through the first night

Well we made it through the first night. So far he is on a schedule of a thirty minute workout and potty and then nap. We were up probably 5-6 times last night and he went potty outside each time. We have had a few accidents inside but just pee. He has pooped outside everytime. We are really hoping he will do okay tomorrow while we are at work. He has a nice big crate to stay in that is plenty big for him now. We decided to go with a big one since he will need it here soon. Right now we think his howl is kinda cute hopefully by the time it is not so cute he won't do it as much. Jason calls him a mama's boy because he likes to follow me around. I told him it was probably not such a great idea to get a puppy that looks so sad all the time. I just want to give into him all the time. He is like my sad little baby. He has done great with the kids. He of course tries to chew on them sometimes but he likes to play with them. He really likes Tyler's trucks. We will continue to put pictures of him on here as he gets bigger. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Our New Addition

Hello Everyone,

Well so far we have had an interesting weekend. We Forgot to tell everyone we were expecting. We bought home a new little fellow today. He is absolutely adorable. We have some new photos of our new family member. His name is Buster. He is a Bloodhound. We decided to give in to the kids and get them a puppy for Christmas. Of course, we are a little early but they don't care. They were actually very excited that they no longer have to have one of them pretend to be a puppy while the other one walks them. Now they have a really puppy they can take on walks. Of course right now this puppy just wants to sleep. We will see how it sleeps through the night. I am a little worried that we are not sleeping tonight. I will let you know how our nights go. Here are some more pictures of the kids with their new puppy.

Another week has gone by

Well another week as flown by. Did anyone catch it?:) We had a very busy week at work. My room is now full and we have a lot of babies who are sick or teething which makes them a little fussy and our room very loud. This weekend the kids went to their dad's and Angel was with her mom. Taylor and Tyler's bites are looking much better and they slept in their room at their dad's all weekend and didn't get bit. I know that they bombed the upstairs and washed everything again and it seemed to have worked. We will keep our fingers crossed that those stinken bugs don't come back. This weekend Jason also played in a softball tournament. It was a Saturday and Sunday tournament in Sidell. I went to a wedding on Saturday and then had a friend take me to the games. They lost their first one but won the second game on Saturday so we had to go back on Sunday. When I was in Champaign it poured down rain (which we didn't realize was supposed to come), but in Sidell it didn't rain at all. Today was a different story. During Jason's second game it started to lighting and thunder in the distance. We got lucky and they lost that game so then they were done. Unfortunately, we started to cook out while the next game was playing and it poured and stormed. So we decided to pack everything up and get out of there. We picked the kids up a little early and game home and got dry clothes on. Now, here in Rantoul I don't think we are getting any rain. But we will see. This week, Taylor and Tyler have a field trip to Curtis Orchard on Monday. And on Tuesday Taylor has her dance class during P.E., which she loves. Wednesday they have no school. I unfortunately have Jury Duty this week. What Fun, Can't Wait. Other than that there is not much new here. Hope everyone has a great week.

Another Great Weekend

Hello Everyone,
Well we had another great weekend. Friday we rented movies and let each of the kids pick a movie. I got to watch Tyler's in my bed while the girls watched one of theirs. Tyler and I both fell asleep so he had to watch his again on Saturday. He rented one that was about rescue boats. On Saturday we went to Chuck E Cheese with one of Taylor's friends family. We were there for 3 hours which was a little to long for us adults. We now know why they sell beer there. We were all ready for one by the time we got our prizes. It was packed and not enough people working. We came home and played. Last night, for some reason, Rantoul had fireworks. Which we didn't know until we started hearing them. Jason took the kids in the van to get a closer look. We think the air show was this weekend or something. Today, we won't be doing much because it is raining, raining, of and did I mention raining. We already have a pond in our back yard. Can't wait to see what happens by the end of the day. It didn't rain hardly at all yesterday like they said it would but it sure is making up for it. I was going to add some pictures of our trip to Chuck E Cheese but my camera kept dying on me and I couldn't get any pictures. I actually remembered the camera but every time I took a picture it died and didn't keep the picture. I guess it didn't like the batteries I had in it. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Stay dry.

Our Doctor's Visit

We went to the doctor today to have the kids spots looked at. Taylor's were really starting to look questionable. Her new bites are infected. We still don't know for sure what actually is biting them though. Andy and Laura are still going to bomb the upstairs and try to take care of what ever it is that are eating these kids. Taylor is now on an antibiotic and she is also getting a cold so she is taking medicine for that. We seem to have our own little pharmacy going on. Hopefully it won't take long for the antibiotic to kick in a Taylor will look a lot better and feel a lot better. Right now she looks miserable.
Well we tried our applesauce and I think the kids like it. I had to do some convincing, telling them that they helped to make it so they should try it, and they seemed to like it. Hope everyone has a great night. Talk to you later.

Another weekend

Hello again,
Well we had a pretty good weekend. I babysat on Friday night for one of Taylor's teachers two kids. It was a lot of fun but I was ready to go to bed afterwards. The kids are 3 and 2 and full of energy. I felt really bad because the parents came home before I got them to bed. We were reading bedtime stories and relaxing but once mom and dad walked through the door the kids energy went right back up. On Saturday, Jason and I went tailgating for the Illini home opener. We had a lot of fun. Illinois did beat Eastern Illinois. I wasn't for sure who I was going to cheer for since I am an alumni for EIU but I wore my Illini shirt anyways. On Sunday, I took a lot of naps and watched the race while Jason watched football. I went to get the kids from their dads and then we ate supper. For some odd reason I chose to try to make homemade applesauce for the first time with a box of apples I got from Jason's mom. I had asked my Grandma how to do it and it didn't seem to hard. I must say we will from now on buy our applesauce at the store or beg Grandma and Grandpa for some of their homemade applesauce. The kids tasted it but didn't really like it because it was still warm. They like their applesauce cold. They better like it cold.
Well like I said, I went and got the kids from their dads and unfortunately the kids got bit up more. For those of you who haven't seen the kids recently, the last time the kids were at their dads they came home with a lot of bites on their bodies. While talking with Andy and Laura we thought that maybe they had chigger bites from rolling in the grass at their house. Well now we are not sure. On Friday night they said they played outside and were fine and then they slept in the camper. On Saturday they were fine until after their naps in their beds. So now we are thinking that they might have spider bites. Andy and Laura had washed the sheets and sprayed their beds but they think that there is still something up there. They are going to bug bomb the upstairs and hopefully this will work. I think I am going to take them to the doctor hopefully tomorrow to have some of the spots looked at. Some of Taylor's are pretty big and I am scared that they might be infected. We also just want to know what this is. I think Andy and Laura would really like to know so they know what to do with the upstairs. Right now we are all going through a lot of After Bite. I will keep you up to date on what is going on with that. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

The Best Pie

Well in my last blog I forgot to mention that my mom made us a homemade peach pie. Let me tell you, it is delicious. My sister-in-law, who is pregnant, ate almost a whole one by herself and I was shocked at first. Now I know why she did. I don't want to share this pie. I cut one piece for Angel and Taylor wants a piece but I got lucky because Jason doesn't like peaches. Oh Darn. There is not much new here. The kids chigger bites are starting to look much better and don't seem to be itching as much. Hope everyone has a great week.

A great Weekend

The kids had a great weekend. They were very busy at my Aunt Jane's. They did a lot of fun stuff. I met them in Pontiac on Sunday to go to the Parade. I was very happy to see that this time Tyler didn't have painted finger nails. They must have been to busy.
The kids really enjoyed the parade and of course got tons of candy. We then went back to my Grandma and Grandpa's and had a family get together. We ate to much and the kids played. We didn't leave there until after 8pm. The kids of course forgot how to sleep this morning and they were up at 6:15am. Tyler had a great time with Grandpa this morning. He got to help fix the car, ride on the motorcycle, and ride in the tractor. He just followed my dad around everywhere.
Tyler fell asleep on our way home this morning. Taylor and Angel were talking and signing all the way home. Oh lucky me. The tiredness finally hit Angel when we were almost to Monticello. Taylor on the other hand is still going at 6:20pm. We will be going to bed very early. And we wonder why she keeps telling her teachers she is tired.
Oh, and I forgot to tell everyone that I am really sorry. I had my camera all ready to go so that I could take more pictures at the parade and then I could post them, but instead my camera sat next to the computer all weekend. I am really sorry.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
